Nejat Sati’s abstract work incorporates a variety of techniques and media, including painting, performance, drawings, sculpture, collaborative works and site-specific installations, often experimental materials. In his enigmatic painting Sati explores cultural hybridity and transculturality as basic conditions of our globalised lives.Sati’s vibrant, large-scale recent works layer colour fragments with applications and scrapings of imposto and fosforic material, expressing complex psychological histories and emotions.
